The two Wheel Self Balancing Electric Scooter

Using the launch of the brand new 2 wheel self balancing electric scooter, 2015 has become a fantastic year for gadget fans. Around the globe, people are taking to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to post photos and videos of themselves zipping around about this 2 wheel contraption which basically looks like a board with a wheel on each side.


A mixture of a skateboard and a segway, this mini Segway (with no handle) type thing is blowing up in popularity, fuelled partly by the level of celebrities which have been seen using one. From Bieber assault to Soulja Boy, Kendall Jenner to Jamie Foxx, have the ability to tried their hand only at that nifty little gadget, and appear to have a lot of fun this.

Nicknamed the ‘swegway’ (as a consequence of it’s likeness towards the Segway, but a ‘cooler’ version) we aren’t sure entirely where this type of self balancing electric scooter originated from or who invented the initial. Probably it originated from some factory in China. The first glimpses we had of computer on television were an item referred to as IO Hawk, a scooter that will set you back a stunning $1800. It was in January of 2015. Subsequently many cheaper versions the exact same product have fallen available on the market and the average price at the moment looks like it’s around $500.

What makes it work? Basically you get up on the 2 panels and shift one’s body weight slightly forward or slightly back and it senses this bodyweight change and moves backwards or forwards. It may also turn right of left. This self balancing electric scooter is turning out to be so well received it’s actually being touted since the personal mobility device of the future. Who wants to walk when you can glide, right? Plus it’s really a lot quicker than walking, travelling at speeds of 6mph to 10mph.
