A fresh 2016 Xmas rock n roll tune has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day site .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks genre is a special up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo guide since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used session players to record the track over a 6 week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA because of Mark needed the most effective outcome and quality. The music ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day site as we can and then ideally in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to at least one or all of the Phuket charities, and to also buy the track.
The other definitive goal is to have enough downloads of the tune to fund and create a Phuket live music pub with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, which will offer free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood schools and orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his music Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket island Villa and cheap flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
