I don’t know initially when i first heard about acim free audiobook. I know i purchased it in March 2009 since i wrote the date inside cover.
Once i tried to read it, however, I simply cannot understand it. The perception of writing was perplexing. The information it contained baffled me. I had never before encountered such teachings. I wasn’t ready for it and quickly place it aside.
Then one day, a dear friend suggested that we form a survey group to be effective for the Course. In my opinion he was simply as bewildered along with it because i was. But his suggestion was wise. He knew we will do together what we was not capable of alone.
So a number of us met for the first time in July 2009. As well meeting, we tried to read several pages in the Text — which forms this course combined with Workbook for Students and the Manual for Teachers. Might know about read because first meeting made little sense to us. It left us frustrated.
Somehow — and I don’t remember how — we made a decision to turn instead to the Workbook for Students, featuring its 365 daily lessons. We must have already been divinely inspired in this decision, because it worked for us and it has continued to be effective since.
Now, greater than couple of years later, we have been well in to the Workbook for a second time. The daily lessons and even the writing now make perfect sense. I now look ahead to doing the teachings every day once you’ve got my first cup of coffee. I am looking forward to using the teachings within the lessons into meditation where I will discuss all of them with my spirit guides. I am looking forward to the weekly study get together where we review and discuss the teachings that we worked on individually throughout the week.
ACIM has completely changed my understanding of the globe, and I are becoming specialized in it. Case study get together normally leave me in a state of bliss, because ACIM is assisting me remember all the things I knew when still in spirit but forgot once i drew the veil of forgetfulness over me and incarnated into this physical world.
Here’s one example of the way this course is different my understanding of the globe: I did previously believe that this physical world is real and that it was made by God, nature, and also other forces external if you ask me. I now understand that I’ve been tricked by my five senses into believing our planet is real. I now understand that it had been I who created the kind of world around me and every one of my experiences inside it. A few things i see “out there” is absolutely simply a projection of what is going on in my own mind. This physical world is surely an illusion, a hologram through which I will play and discover. None than it is real — I made it all up!
Thus, We are responsible for the kind of world around me and many types of my experiences inside it. I am not a target of life’s circumstances after all. Most people are not abusing me. God isn’t punishing me. what I see, I experience what I experience, and I feel what I feel since i settle upon so in my own mind.
There is no reason for going “out there” to alter any particular item on earth. You are unable to control, manipulate, or repair it. This may be like seeing a movie theater and stomping as much as destroy the screen since you dislike the show you’re watching.
The best way to change any particular item on the watch’s screen is to find the projector at the rear of the theater modify the video. The right way to change any particular item “out there” on earth is always to change what’s “in here” is likely to mind. Improve your beliefs. Stop judging and condemning. Set out to practice unconditional love and acceptance. Whenever you accomplish that, the globe you see “out there” will begin to change. Providing is going to be stored in unhappiness, pain, and suffering.
ACIM is very easy and unequivocal about this: It is possible to remain asleep in this physical illusion, dreaming it is real, as long as you want. Additionally, you can awaken spiritually and discover which you have been asleep in Heaven all along. Jesus Himself declared Heaven will be here, at our disposal, but we have not been able to notice.
