The cast of characters are settling set for their new situations. They believe that nothing much must be happening to upset that world, yet, they’re surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue finds authentically being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The premise is straightforward enough and subtle enough to give a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing on her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Currently the three in residence are missing. Ma constitutes a big deal over it. She even goes to the local newspaper once the local police don’t respond to her fears. She does bring in the out-of-work detective, the brand new editor in the local newspaper and finally the town itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who had previously been named following the town in question, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta has a lot opting for her currently, she has moved to the large city, OKC, OK and landed employment together with the local t.v. station. Even though this will not strengthen your journalistic career, it does get her in the middle of Weather and era of your day. The most common players for Henryetta are Wynona Sue, Henrietta’s hairdresser mother stars inside a “reality” show, see later. Her husband, Professor LeHough, a local bug expert is bald from a surprise shaving. Rodney, Henrietta’s boyfriend, camera man buddy and overall closest friend is pulled and tugged by Henrietta and her immediate boss Miss Peg. Harold Mixon, the property owner and editor emeritus in the local weekly newspaper, recently put on the web is wanting to use a pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend regarding his friends with the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).
The opposite main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor in the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective using a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo because the “reality” show director wanting to shot a pilot for a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round traditional boy, relates to town to aid in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once they will become involved in the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With additional rumors then this facts probably warrant, a few missing girls are more and much more objects of speculation and intrigue while hardly any factual info is given. The rumors start out mild because the missing girls are simply looked for by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally lead up to a significant “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading on the news and so the townspeople.
