How weddings have changed over the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a fairly easy wedding car to expensive and large wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Talking about the second, wedding speeches are nevertheless a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do look ahead to hearing them, referring to them before, during as wll as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, throughout the meal and after your food, however it’s of your strong opinion how the groom speech should be delivered as soon as the meal. I know that for several marriage ceremony speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father in the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they would choose to contain the wedding speeches before the meal, for them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are paying for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and how most of them (and even the wedding venue staff) would like the wedding speeches to be delivered following your meal for many reasons, some of which include:
The invited guests have already been fed and watered and are not hearing wedding speeches on an empty stomach (at least of food, which will be the case prior to the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food could be cooked and served with the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches before the meal along with their is actually a delay of A quarter-hour to at least one.5 hours, driving your kitchen staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches act as the transition from your meal for the dancing (with nothing happening following the meal, individuals are expecting ‘a few words’ to be shared concerning the Bride & Groom after which it they know they can get up, maneuver around, take a rest, go for a walk, navigate to the bar…)
It can be difficult for moms and dads with the Bride & Groom to talk in public places, as most of them couldn’t survive used of it. So, they could, if they so wished, speak before the / their meal.
There should be some type of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
