How weddings have changed over the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
These are aforementioned, wedding speeches are nevertheless a fundamental part of a marriage and guests do enjoy hearing them, discussing them before, during as wll as after they’ve been delivered.
We know of father of the groom speech delivered before the meal, during the meal and after the meal, yet it is of a strong opinion how the wedding speeches must be delivered following the meal. I understand that for a lot of wedding ceremony speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father with the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (5 main speakers), they would would rather contain the wedding speeches prior to meal, for them to enjoy their meal (many of them are spending money for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and exactly how most of them (and indeed the wedding venue staff) would prefer the marriage speeches to be delivered after the meal for several reasons, many of which include:
The invited guests happen to be fed and watered and aren’t hearing wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which would be the case prior to the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival at the wedding venue)
Food may be cooked and served in the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches before the meal in addition to their might be a delay of A quarter-hour to a single.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy always keeping food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
Wedding ceremony speeches become the transition through the meal on the dancing (without a penny happening after the meal, individuals are expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared about the Bride & Groom after which it they do know they could wake up, move, take a rest, go for a walk, see a bar…)
It can be hard for folks in the Bride & Groom to talk in public, as the majority of them wouldn’t be used of it. So, they may, whenever they so wished, speak before the / their meal.
There should be some type of formal speech(es) after the meal…
