A program in Miracles is indeed pure, so wonderful, so powerful, a whole bunch more spiritually advanced than every other little bit of our planet’s literature (past and provide), you need to actually has it to trust it. But those whose minds are far too mounted on worldly thoughts, and lack the underlying thirst for true spiritual knowledge that is essential for its understanding, will not comprehend one particular whole page. That isn’t because A Course in Miracles is confusing – on the other hand its principles are remarkably simple – but rather since it is the character of spiritual knowledge that those that are not able to comprehend it, just can’t understand it. Mentionened above previously within the Bible, at the beginning of the novel of John: “The light shineth in darkness, and darkness comprehended it not”.
Since that time I first became alert to the majestic and awe-inspiring existence of God, I have enjoyed reading many wonderful spiritual works like the Bible (my personal favorite parts are the Sermon about the Mount and Psalms), the Bhagavad-Gita, the Upanishads, the Koran along with the poetry of Kabir and Rumi. Not one of them compare towards the greatness of your Course in Miracles. Reading it by having an open mind and heart, your fears and troubles wash away. You then become mindful of a marvelous love deep by you – deeper than anything you knew before. The near future actually starts to seem so bright in your case and your loved ones. You feel love for everyone including those you previously have tried to leave excluded. These experiences are very powerful and at times throw you off balance just a little, but it’s worth the cost: Training in Miracles covers an appreciation so peaceful, so strong and so universal – you may wonder how countless world’s religions, whose aim is supposedly a similar experience, got so off track.
I must say here for any Christian who feels that his church’s teachings don’t truly satisfy his thirst to learn a kind, merciful and loving God, but is somewhat afraid to learn the program as a consequence of others’ claims that it’s inconsistent with “true” Christianity: Don’t worry! We have browse the gospels more often than not and I promise that a Course in Miracles is very in keeping with Jesus’ teachings when he was in the world. Don’t fear the fanatical defenders of exclusionist dogma – these poor people think themselves to be the only carriers of Jesus’ message, and also the only ones worthy of his blessings, while other goes to hell. A Course in Miracles reflects Jesus’ true message: unconditional passion for *all people*. While he was in the world, Jesus said to judge a tree by its fruit. So give it a try and discover how the fruits that ripen in your own life taste. When they taste bad, you’ll be able to abandon A program in Miracles. But if they taste as sweet as mine do, along with the millions of other true seekers that have found A Course in Miracles to be nothing more than a heavenly treasure, then congratulations – and may your heart be abundantly full of peaceful, loving joy.
