Remember when rediscovering the reassurance of school meant purchasing a few notebooks, a new box of crayons, and new shoes? In the event you wore a uniform to college, you almost certainly got one of those too; or even, you got a couple of new outfits. That has been it.
Well, times have changed. The provision list now contains items which had been furnished by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child needs a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders along with a calculator. For those who have two children and you shop the sales, you may still end up paying out over $100.00 in supplies alone. Which doesn’t even count the new clothes your youngster “has to have” or fees which are needed for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me going on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your kids needs for faculty. Does it ever end?

1) Recycle – Determine what you currently have at home. You almost certainly have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. lying around your home. Put these together in the pencil box and will save you a few bucks.
2) Re-use – Kids believe that last year’s backpack needs to go, however a quick trip through the washer may give it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your youngster have a very notebook from a year ago which has three pages of written material within it and 77 blank pages left? Do you find this notebook inside the recycle bin – or worse – the garbage? Now could be a great time to go over waste and keeping it to a minimum through getting the most use possible from every item.
