A new 2016 Christmas rock n roll tune has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket island charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks style is a distinctive up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used local session musicians to record the music durring a six week period. The songs contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the very best outcome and quality. The song ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site that we can and then we hope in-turn they’ll be good enough to donate to at least one or all the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
Another definitive goal is to have enough downloads of the music to fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, which will offer free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the area’s colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to promote his song Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there is numerous ways to simply help including a Thailand Accommodation and budget flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every dime helps.
